Betty June Schutte, 88, of Ft.Madison, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 8:08 PM at the West PointCareCenter.

   She was born on June 11, 1924 in Ft. Madison, IA to Russell L. and Eleanor O. Elliott Eggers.  On June 11, 1944 she married Milton F. Briggs in Ft.Madison and he passed away on September 3, 1964.  Betty then married Eugene A. Schutte on May 28, 1965 in Ft.Madison and he passed away on November 18, 1982.  She was a homemaker, former member of FaithBibleChurch and enjoyed crocheting, her greatest love and enjoyment was her family. 

   Survivors include one son, Wayne (Camilla) Briggs of West Point; two daughters, Patricia Anderson of Williamsburg, IA and Barbara (Fred) Hauck of Donnellson; seven  grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Elaine Peitz of West Point and Jerry Hellige of Ft. Madison.  She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands. 

    The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Earl Beal officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

John Andrew Bolander     Age: 72   of: Burlington

                                                                      

Died: Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012

 

Where: Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa

 

Survivors: Two daughters, Ruth (Bill) Link and Tana (Shad) Dixon, both of Burlington, Iowa; two sons, John A. (Maria) Bolander II of Bicknell, Indiana and Raymond W. (Kim) Bolander of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; four brothers, Thomas Bolander of San Antonio, Texas, Paul Bolander, Wayne Bolander and Harry Bolander, all of Burlington, Iowa; four sisters, Betty (Martin) Brockett of Joplin, Missouri, Esther (Calvin) Reynolds of Burlington, Iowa, Ruby (James) Gott of Wapello, Iowa and Hazel (Wayne) Dixon of Burlington, Iowa; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Services: for John Andrew Bolander will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Prugh’s Chapel, Burlington, Iowa. Rev. Roger Bolander will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard.

   

Interment: will be in Carman Cemetery, Carman, Illinois.

Wanda Hollenbeck     Age: 86          of: Burlington

                                                                      

Died: Saturday evening, Nov. 24, 2012

 

Where: GreatRiver Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa

 

Survivors: She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Kathy Hollenbeck of Burlington, Iowa; One brother, Eugene (Wanda) Smith of Middletown, Iowa, two sisters, Gloria Polen of Victoria, Texas and Elaine (Ronnie) Cooper of  Kahoka, Missouri. Three grandsons, Chad Hollenbeck , Jeremy Hollenbeck and Joshua Hollenbeck all of Waco, Texas. Two great-grandchildren, Draydan Truman and Jaylee Hollenbeck; nieces and nephews.

 

 

Funeral Services: Family visitation for Wanda Hollenbeck will be held in Prugh’s Chapel on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded.

Randy Paul Robertson, age 55 of Wapello, died Wednesday November 21, 2012 at his home in Wapello.  The son of Richard Thomas and Donna (Hayden) Robertson, he was born July 16, 1957 at Burlington.

Randy  enjoyed hunting, his time with his dogs, gardening, his grandchildren, times riding motorcycles and riding his lawn mower.

 

Survivors include:  two daughters;  Virginia Sams of Cedar Rapids; Racheal Robertson of Spring Valley, Illinois; four grandchildren; his Father, Richard Robertson of Wapello; four brothers; Rick, Jimmy and Steve all of Wapello; Jeff of Muscatine;  two sisters; Mary Hawkins of Wapello and Vickey Hamm of Burlington; his special companion, Lee Ann Ray of Wapello;

 

He was preceded in death by his Mother, grandparents, and one granddaughter.

 

According to his wishes, cremation has been accorded.

 

A memorial service will be held Tuesday November 27, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Wapello, with Pastor Dan Doolin officiating.  A general memorial has been established in his name.

Harold Eugene Fraise, 62 years, of West Point, Iowa died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at this home in West Point, Iowa.  He was born August 21, 1950 at Fort Madison, Iowa, a son of Albert and Mary (Found) Fraise.  He first married Cheryl Frazier. They had two children, Travis and Amy.  They divorced.  He then married Jan Jones. They divorced.

 

He was a longtime resident of the area.  He worked at First Miss, was an Insurance Agent for Farm Bureau and Fullenkamp Insurance Agency, and later drove a semi for WM Johnson.  He was of the Catholic faith.

 

He is survived by one son, Travis (wife Tammy) Fraise, of Montrose, Iowa; one daughter, Amy (husband Robert) Boyd, of Silver Lake, New Hampshire; four brothers:  Terry Fraise, of Fort Madison, Iowa; Lloyd (wife Becky) Fraise, of West Point, Iowa; Russell (wife Patricia) Fraise, of Fort Madison, Iowa;  and Steve (wife Carol) Fraise, of Montrose, Iowa;  three sisters:  Elberta (husband Bill) Teitsworth, of Oquawka, Illinois; Sue (husband Tim) Parker, of Fort Madison, Iowa;  and Carol (husband Bill) Stancil, of Donnellson, Iowa;  seven grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cathy Puckett.

 

His body has been cremated.  A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:30 amSaturday, December 1, 2012 at CalvaryCemetery, West Point, Iowa with Reverend Dennis Hoffman, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the West Point Fire and Rescue.  Online condolences to the Fraise family may be made at the Barr-Holtkamp Funeral Home website, www.barrholtkampfuneralhome.com.
