FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, BURIAL WILL BE IN__________ the Keokuk National Cemetery

VISITATION____ will be held after 1 p.m. Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family
meeting with friends from 6-8 p.m.

Dr. Warren Charles Zabloudil, 90, of Burlington, died at GreatRiverMedicalCenter on Friday morning, November 30, 2012.

    

Born on Feb. 23, 1922 in Burlington, Iowa,

he was the son of Rudolph and Caroline Marie Huppenbauer Zabloudil.

He married Harriett Salzman and was married to her for 43 years, she preceded him in death.  He married Myrna Vaughan on April 16, 1990 in Burlington, Iowa  

 

He was a graduate of BurlingtonHigh School and BurlingtonJunior College.  He graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School in 1945.

 

Warren was a physician for 63 years and delivered over 2000 babies. He practiced in Preston, Iowa for 10 years. Then came to Burlington and formed the offices of Dr. Harry McMurray & Dr. Warren Zabloudil in the NorthHillMedicalCenter. He was listed in Who’s Who as a honored professional in the year 2000. He was a member of the American Medical Association, Iowa State Medical Society, Des Moines and Louisa  County Medical  Society and a life member of the Americn Academy of Family Physicians.  He was a Mason out of Bellevue, Iowa, was a medical leader for Boy Scouts for 10 years. When he retired he found time to travel to many countries enjoying Russia the most.  He had an extensive library and loved to read biographies.  He loved classical music with a collection of about everything Mozart wrote.  He loved all of nature growing his many trees of many varieties, especially Bonsai trees.  He loved feeding the birds and  stamp collecting. 

 

 

He was a lifetime member of BethanyLutheranChurch.

 

He is survived by his wife, Myrna of 22 years and caregiver for 6 years.     

Six children and three grandchildren             

 

He was preceded in death by parents, first wife, Harriett and one brother, Robert

 

Prayer  services for Warren Charles Zabloudil will be held  on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the BethanyLutheranChurch, 2515 Madison Avenue, Burlington, Iowa at 6:30 p.m. following the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m.. Pastor Rick Biedermann will officiate.

 

 

A memorial has been established for the BethanyLutheranChurch
