Obituarues Monday December 17th
Lamona Mary Ann “Mona” Hennigar, 77, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 10:36 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at WeissMemorialHospital in Chicago, IL. She was born on January 7, 1935 in Mason City, IA to John George & Cresentia Faith Schick Fountas. She married James A. Hennigar on February 7, 1952 in Mason City, IA. Early on, she worked for the Sheaffer Pen Company and co-founded Hennigar Construction with her husband in 1969. She took care of the company financials from 1969 to present day. She enjoyed her family business and working in her yard, but her greatest passion was her entire family.
Mona is survived by: her husband: Jim Hennigar of Fort Madison, IA; 1-daughter: Cindy (David) Cortelyou of Bushnell, IL; 2-sons: Mike (Kathy) Hennigar of Fort Madison, IA & Dub (Danette) Hennigar of Fort Madison, IA; 10-grandchildren: Heather (Jason) Lynk; Toby (Susan) Cortelyou, Allison (Ben) Kipp, Leisa (Chris) Breitfelder, Ashley (Greg Shottenkirk) Benbow, Dustin (Sara) Hennigar, Jordan (Breanna) Hennigar, Chase Hennigar, Collin (Kelsey Myers) Hennigar & Johanna Hennigar; 10-great grandchildren: Anna & Jon Lynk, Miriam & Ethan Cortelyou, Everleigh & Owen Kipp, Kennady & Enzler Breitfelder, Jada Sheppard, Jacob Benbow, & soon to be Baby Hennigar; 2-sisters: Stella Rodemeyer of McAllen, TX & Flo Larson of Clear Lake, IA; 2-brothers: Jim (Joyce) Fountas of Mason City, IA & Tom Fountas of Racine, WI; 2-sister in laws: Kelli Fountas of Mason City, IA & Darlene Fountas of North Liberty, IA. She was preceded in death by: her parents & 3-brothers: Stan, George & Nick.
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 with the family to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be held in FairviewCemetery. William Roger Griffith, 74, of West Burlington, died at 1:25 am Sunday, December 16, 2012, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Arrangements are pending at the Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory.

Died: on Thursday afternoon, December 13, 2012,
Where: at Blair House, Burlington, Iowa.
Survivors: Survivors include her daughter, Cornelia Kidd Summers and her son-in-law, Timothy Summers of Godfrey, Illinois; her granddaughter Ashley Chamberlin of O’Fallon, Missouri; and numerous cousins in Burlington, Minnesota and Scotland.
Funeral Services: Funeral services for Ms. Schrader will be Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:30a.m. at Prugh’s Chapel. Rev.Deb Kinney will officiate.
Interment: Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Other arrangements:The visitation for Ms. Schrader will be from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Prugh’s Chapel. A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
