Obituaries Friday January 18th
| Fleta I. Wright, 92, of Carthage, IL formerly of Dallas City, IL passed away at 9:50AMWednesday, January 16, 2013 at the KeokukAreaHospital.
Fleta was born April 2, 1920 in DallasCity the daughter of Art and Alpha Bassett Riter. In 1938 she married Cliford Barber. They later divorced. In 1943 she married Seth Freeland. He preceded her in death in 1965. In 1967 Fleta married John Rider. He preceded her in death in 1974. She then married Maurice Wright in 1983. He preceded her in death in 1990. She attended Dallas City Schools. She belonged to the Dallas City Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Rashid in FortMadison before moving to Carthage in 1983. Fleta worked at Jo’s Gift Shop in Carthage for ten years before retiring. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Carthage. Fleta was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Illini basketball fan. She enjoyed spending time with family Survivors include 2 daughters, Dixie (Nolan) DeWitt of Roseville, IL and Dyna (Donald) Scanlan of Dallas City, several step-children, 5 grandchildren, Shawn (Linda) Hart of Monmouth, IL, Buffy Hart, of Colchester, IL, Traci (Martin) Sparrow, of Dallas City, Seth Trent Scanlan of Ferris, IL and Tara Knoche of Warsaw, IL, 9 great-grandchildren, Marc Sparrow, Jenni (Eric) VanAusdall, Monte Cole, Kody Knoche, Bobby Sparrow, Shelbi Knoche, Alexandria Scanlan, Danielle Sparrow and Sophie Scanlan, 2 great-great-grandsons, Gage and Graham VanAusdall. Fleta was preceded in death by her parents and husbands. Services will be held at 10:30AMSaturday, January 19, 2013 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in DallasCity with Robin Spurling officiating. Burial will be in the HarrisCemetery near DallasCity. Friends may call after 3:00PMFriday, January 18, 2013 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00PM.
