SCC Coach’s Son Punched During Post-Game Melee

THE SON OF SCC MENS BASKETBALL COACH TERRY CARROLL WAS HIT IN THE MOUTH DURING A BRAWL JUST AFTER SATURDAY NITE’S GAME WITH INDIAN HILLS AT LOREN WALKER ARENA.

…AND WHILE BILLY CARROLL WAS TAKEN TO GRAT RIVER MEDICAL CENTER TO REPAIR A SEROUSLY-CUT LIP, POLICE ARRESTED AN INDIAN HILLS PLAYER…21-YEAR OLD RON ROSS…FOR THE ATTACK.    HE’LL FACE A CHARGE OF SERIOUS ASSAULT.  

  FOR THE RECORD, INDIAN HILLS DID WIN THE BASKETBALL GAME 104-99…AND WEST BURLINGTON AUTHORITIES THANKED BURLINGTON POLICE FOR THEIR HELP IN GETTING THINGS UNDER CONTROL.

    SCC started the whole thing. KBUR, you’re bias reporting is shining through. While I was cheering for SCC, I will not go back to any more games until they get a different coach. He recruits thugs, and this is the second altercation with suspensions in 2 years. Time for a change.

      I couldn’t agree more about all the thugs on the team. Theres, what, ONE local person on the team… it’s insane that a community college in Burlington has to recruit form places like Chicago and New York, there’s plenty of local talent to pick from. The coach and the whole team needs to go.

        Is Terry’s sone on staff with SCC? If not, he should not have been out on the floor in the melee…I am not saying he should have been punched but he should not have been in a spot where he could have been…

          As far as we know, Billy Carroll is not on the SCC staff.

            why no mention of the 5 scc players suspended, 5 ihcc players suspended and that IHCC head coach Peery was suspended for 1 game and had to get 4 stitches?

    Did Joe O’Brien have any area kid on his three national championship teams that played? No. Go look it up.

    Indian Hills started this fight. #24 spit in Dontay Jackson’s face and #2 put Jackson in a head lock. Then all hell broke loose.

    IHCC #15 assaulted a fan and they ran over an old lady in the hallway. SCC players punched no one. They were simply defending themselves. Terry’s son went on the floor to help break it up, along with former assistant Brian Turner. The Indian Hills coach was elbowed or shouldered by his own player who he couldn’t restrain (#24).

      False the loudmouth Carroll was talking smack to players the entire game and then he went out on to the court and threw no 15 down he got what was coming to him

    #4 wouldn’t let #24 of IHCC walk away, he kept shoving him and getting in his face. Why would Indian Hills have any reason to start a fight? They just won the game. SCC was mad because they blew the game, and Terry’s thugs didn’t know how to take it.
