Burlington School Board Talking Budget, Waiting for State
By Mark Morris on March 11, 2013
THE BURLINGTON SCHOOL BOARD WILL REVIEW THE BUDGET TONITE(MON), TO THE BEST OF ITS ABILITY…GIVEN THE FACT THAT THE LEGISLATURE HASN’T TOLD DISTRICTS YET HOW MUCH STATE FUNDING THEY’LL BE GETTING.
THE SCHOOLS’ BUDGET DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PUBLISHED UNTIL THE 25TH AND WILL BE ADOPTED APRIL 8TH. THE BOARD TONITE(MON) IS ALSO EXPECTED TO CREATE A NEW POSITION – THAT OF COMMUNICATIONS & ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR. THE MEETING WILL BE HELD IN THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING ON WEST AVENUE, BEGINNING AT 7.
