$2-Million Powerball Ticked Purchased in Oskaloosa

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (AP) — No one in Iowa won Powerball’s $338.3 million jackpot this weekend, but a winning ticket worth $2 million was sold in Oskaloosa.

Iowa lottery officials say the $2 million winning ticket matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball. The ticket was worth $2 million because the buyer purchased a power play option to double the prize.

Shelby Sharp, who works at the Kum and Go that sold the winner, said Sunday morning that no one had contacted the store about claiming their winnings yet.

Four other tickets sold in Iowa are worth $10,000 because they matched four numbers. Those were sold in Council Bluffs, Donnellson, Davenport and Des Moines.

The overall jackpot-winning ticket was sold in New Jersey. The winning numbers were 17-29-31-52-53 and Powerball 31.
