A POINT GUARD ALSO HELPED TO DEFEAT ILLINOIS SUNDAY… MIAMI POINT MAN SHANE LARKIN DRILLED A THREE-POINTER WITH A MINUTE LEFT TO GIVE THE HURRICANES THE LEAD FOR GOOD AGAINST THE ILLINI… AND MIAMI ENDED UP WINNING 63-59.

 

ON THE WOMEN’S SIDE SUNDAY, IOWA BEAT MIAMI 69-53 AT CARVER-HAWKEYE ARENA. THE LADY HAWKEYES WILL PLAY NOTRE DAME TUESDAY NIGHT AT 8:30. KBUR WILL HAVE COVERAGE OF THAT GAME. IOWA STATE WILL BE IN ACTION MONDAY NIGHT IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON, AGAINST GEORGIA.
