12 Dead in Damascus University Cafeteria Bombing

DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — Mortar shells have hit a cafeteria at Damascus University in Syria.

And according to state media and a Syrian official, at least 12 people have been killed, with 20 others wounded.

Rebels began firing shells at the capital earlier this year, and the attacks have become increasingly common in recent weeks.

A government-run TV station showed footage of tables and chairs turned upside down, shattered glass and blood on the floor.
