2 arrested after 4 die in Montana mobile home fire

Two men have been arrested in Montana on suspicion of negligent homicide hours after four bodies were removed from a burned-out mobile home near Billings.

Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder tells The Billings Gazette (http://bit.ly/13m7uxL ) that Zaccary John Kern and Robert Eric Bottenhagen were arrested Thursday night. Jail records show both face four counts of negligent homicide and a felony arson charge.

Autopsies were planned Friday. Officials say the victims’ names won’t be released until their family members are notified.

Firefighters were called to the mobile home in Lockwood shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday. Officers obtained a search warrant before entering the house and removing the bodies Thursday afternoon.

Capt. Bill Michaelis says the cause of the fire and the cause of the victims’ deaths are still under investigation.
