MILWAUKEE (AP) — Ryan Braun hit a three-run home run before getting ejected in the Milwaukee Brewers’ 4-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs yesterday.

Brewers starter Wily Peralta allowed two runs in six-plus innings for the Brewers, who won their seventh straight game. Scott Feldman took the loss after giving up four runs in five innings.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Erik Kratz hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning last night as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the St. Louis Cardinals 7-3. Reliever Mike Adams tossed a scoreless eighth to help the Phillies split the four-game series. Matt Carpenter hit a solo home run for the Cardinals.

CHICAGO (AP) — Josh Willingham’s three-run double in the seventh inning lifted the Minnesota Twins to a 5-3 win over the Chicago White Sox yesterday. Scott Diamond pitched six strong innings for the Twins en route to his first victory of the year. Adam Dunn homered and Jeff Keppinger drove in two runs for Chicago.

DENVER (AP) — Jamie McGinn scored twice last night to lead the Colorado Avalanche to a 5-3 win over the St. Louis Blues. Cody McLeod, Matt Duchene and Chuck Kobasew also had goals for the Avs, who chased goalie Brian Elliott from the game in the second period. David Backes, Jaden Schwartz and Kevin Shattenkirk lit the lamp for St. Louis.
