THE BURLINGTON BEES WON THEIR 3RD GAME IN A ROW LAST(WED) NITE, A 5 TO 3 VICTORY IN CLINTON OVER THE LUMBER-KINGS.

THE TEAMS WILL PLAY AGAIN TONITE(THUR) AND TOMORROW(FRI) NITE, BEFORE THE BEES MOVE ON TO CEDAR RAPIDS…AND YOU CAN HEAR ALL THE ACTION ON KBUR, BEGINNING TONITE AT 6:10 WITH BRANDON MARCUS.

 

 

IN BOYS HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER…HOLY TRINITY BEAT COLUMBUS 1 TO NOTHING AND CENTRAL LEE LOST TO WEST LIBERTY 5 TO 1, IN CLASS 1A SUBSTATE SEMIFINAL PLAY.  SATURDAY’S SUBSTATE-4 TITLE GAME WILL FEATURE HOLY TRINITY VERSUS WEST LIBERTY AT NOON IN WEST POINT.

 

IN THE 2A SEMINFINALS…MT. PLEASANT DEFEATED FAIRFIELD 2 TO 1 AND SOLON SHUT OUT WASHINGTON 7 TO NOTHING…SO MT. PLEASANT AND SOLON WILL PLAY FOR THE SUBSTATE-5 CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY AT NOON IN SOLON.

 

 

IN GIRLS TOURNAMENT (SOCCER) ACTION…BURLINGTON PLAYS AT KEOKUK TONITE AT 6 IN A 2A REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL…AND HOLY TRINITY HOSTS DAVENPORT NORTH TONITE(AT 6) IN ANOTHER 2A REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL.
