From Tragedy to Triumph
A chance to turn tragedy into triumph is heading our way in June.
The parents of Garrett Brockway, the 10-year-old who died earlier this year from injuries of a falling tree, have teamed up with the Burlington Bees to host a special night at the ballpark in honor of their son and to raise awareness about organ donations. It’s called “Donate Life Night”, and they’re encouraging you to mark the event down on your calendar for June 22nd.
Garrett saved 5 lives with his organ donations and the Brockways are trying to spread the awareness of a much needed gift. The 10-year-old has also improved vision for 2 people by cornea donations, and his tissues will help upwards of 100 people. More information about this event will be released as the date approaches.
