THE BURLINGTON BEES GAME WITH PEORIA AT COMMUNITY FIELD WAS CANCELLED LAST(THUR) NITE BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER. 

IT’S THE 13TH TIME THIS YEAR THAT A BEES GAME HAS BEEN CALLED OFF OR POSTPONED.     THE BEES ARE SCHEDULED TO PLAY THE LUMBERKINGS IN CLINTON TONITE(FRI) THRU NEXT MONDAY, BEFORE TAKING A DAY OFF.   YOU CAN HEAR BEES BASEBALL ON KBUR AND TONITE’S COVERAGE WILL BEGIN AT 6:40.

 

 

IN BOYS HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER…MT. PLEASANT LOST TO STORM LAKE 3 TO 1 IN THE 2A QUARTERFINALS AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT.   THE PANTHERS’ SEASON ENDS AT 13 AND 4 AND STORM LAKE MOVES ON TO PLAY WAVERLY-SHELL ROCK IN TODAY’S(FRI) SEMIFINALS.

 

IN GIRLS SOCCER…ND-WB PLAYS AT IOWA CITY REGINA TODAY AT 5 O’CLOCK IN THE CLASS 1A REGIONAL SEMI-FINAL.

 

 

IN GIRLS TENNIS…NOTRE DAME-WEST BURLINGTON SOPHOMORE STEPHANIE WILLS LOST TO TOP-SEEDED CAROLYN AHLERS OF LEMARS YESTERDAY(THUR) AT THE STATE CLASS 1A SINGLES TOURNAMENT IN ANKENY.  THE 6-LOVE, 6-LOVE LOSS SENT WILLS TO THE CONSOLATION BRACKET, WHERE SHE LOST TO WAVERLY-SHELL ROCK’S LIZ RUCKER 6-2 AND 6-2. 

 

 

AND JACKSON GRABEEL AND JOSEPH REILLY OF WESTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY FINISHED SECOND AT THE CARHARRT COLLEGE SERIES MIDWEST REGIONAL BASS TOURNAMENT YESTERDAY IN FORT MADISON.   THEIR 2-DAY TOTAL WAS 10 BASS FOR 16 POUNDS, 4 OUNCES.

 

A TEAM FROM THE MILWAUKEE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING WON THE EVENT AND TWO TEAMS FROM WISCONSIN-STEVENS POINT PLACED THIRD AND 4TH.
