Landfill Accepting (free of charge) Limb Debris
Burlington residents can take their tree and limb debris to the landfill free of charge.
You may be asked to show proof of residency in order to take part in the wood-waste disposal so bring your ID. Landfill hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, and 8am to noon on Saturday.
The City of Burlington is responsible for, and will continue, to remove trees from the public right-of-way. This is the area generally between sidewalks on both sides of a road. It includes all trees planted in the right-of-way, whether they fall on private or public property, and the portions of trees that fall into the right-of-way from private property.
Property owners are responsible for the cleanup and removal of any private trees that are on their property. Property owners are asked not to bring limbs and debris into the right-of-way from private property.
The clean up is expected to take up to four weeks.
