Nicole Kelly of Keokuk is Miss Iowa!
For the second year in a row, A young woman from southeast Iowa has been chosen as Miss Iowa and will compete in the Miss America Pageant this fall.
22-year-old Nicole Kelly of Keokuk won Saturday after a three-day competition in Davenport. Last year, Mariah Cary of the Burlington area was named Miss Iowa.
Kelly is majoring in directing and theater management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is the 72nd woman to hold the title of Miss Iowa. The first runner-up was 24-year-old Isabella Blaine, of West Des Moines.
The Miss America Pageant will be September 15th in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
