Burlington Shooter Gets 10 Years
A Burlington man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting a gun into a car containing two children and two adults.
No one was hurt. 23-year-old Don Hunt Junior was originally charged with attempted murder in connection with the February incident in the 200 block of South 5th Street, but the charge was reduced to intimidation with a dangerous weapon as part of a plea agreement. Judge Michael Shilling also ordered Hunt to undergo anger management and submit to a psychological exam in prison. Hunt could be eligible for parole in about two years.
