Oldest Person Died Today

Jiroemon Kimura of Tokyo, died today at age 116.

He was born in 1897 and hold’s the record for the world’s oldest person. An Iowa woman was the current holder of the world record, but was passed by Kimura last December.

He has been battling pneumonia since last month.

On his 115th birthday, Kimura told reporters he was keeping his mind fit by learning English. He attributed his longevity to getting out in the sunlight.
