Former BCSD Aide Sues; Says Fired for Being Whistleblower
A published report says a one-time special education associate at Burlington’s Corse Elementary School is suing the district, claiming she was fired for reporting classroom assaults.
Neva Hoover of Burlington says in the lawsuit that she and several other students were assaulted by an unnamed student in Dianna Law’s classroom. Hoover says she complained to school officials and then filed a report with Burlington Police, after which she was fired.
The Burlington Community School District has not yet responded to the suit, according to the published report.
