WB Superintendent Gets 5% Raise
The West Burlington School Board voted to increase Superintendent David Schmitt’s salary by 5% in a closed session last night.
Schmitt’s salary was $112,778 last school year and will now be $118,451. His total package cost will now be $155,774. His evaluation last night was based on goals he had set and on six Iowa School Leadership Standards and Criteria set by the Iowa Association of School Boards.
During the regular monthly meeting last night, the policy for the KUNO tablet was approved. Superintendent David Schmitt said students and guardians will need to sign an acknowledgment form. In the contract, are issues with backing up files, not distributing copyrighted materials, and damage costs.
High school students will be given their KUNO at open house night, the Tuesday before school starts.
