Gas Will Not be a Traveling Factor for Independence Day
It’s going to be a busy week for some with the holiday quickly approaching.
AAA Travel projects that almost 40.8-million Americans will journey 50 miles or more from home this Independence Day, which is a decrease from last years 41.1-million. The decline is mainly due to a shorter holiday period. If you are one who plans to travel, keep in mind that July 3rd is the day most are inticipated to depart and Sunday July 7th will the most popular date for people to return.
For once though, gas prices are unlikely to be a major factor in travel decisions this holiday. Despite the slight increase in price compared to last year, prices remain below their highs of earlier this year.
