IL. House Rejects Quinn’s Concealed Carry Changes
The Illinois House rejected the changes Governor Pat Quinn had made to the legislation regarding concealed carry.
The house voted 77-31 to override the Governor’s amendatory veto. Quinn wanted to prohibit guns in restaurants that serve alcohol and limit gun-toting citizens to one firearm at a time.
Today is the deadline for the legislation. If the Senate approves the it later today, Illinois will join the rest of the country in allowing firearms to be carried in public.
