Barbara J. Mosena, 70, of Davenport, died at 6:05 AM Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Born September 17, 1942, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harold W. “Moe” and Jeanette J. Mohler Mosena.
Barbara was a Production Manager for the Department of the Army at the Rock Island Arsenal retiring in 2008. In her earlier years she had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown.
She was a 1960 graduate of Burlington Notre Dame High School. She later graduated from The University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Parish in Davenport and SS. Mary & Patrick Catholic Church, West Burlington. She enjoyed walking, traveling, music, current events, watching the news and classic movies. She cherished time with her family, friends and co-workers.
Survivors include one sister, Joyce (John) Pohlmeyer of West Burlington; one brother, Howard (Susan Diehl) Mosena of Burlington; two nephews, Aron (Kerry) Pohlmeyer of Downers Grove, IL, and Jason Pohlmeyer of Burlington; two nieces, Jennifer Spears and Alyssa Mosena both of Tucson, AZ; several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends following a 5:00 PM Rosary Service until 7:00 PM Friday, July 12, 2013, at Thielen Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Ms. Mosena will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2013, at SS. Mary and Patrick Catholic Church, West Burlington with Rev. Father David G. Steinle as the Celebrant. Music will be provided by the Des Moines County Resurrection Choir. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Burlington.
A memorial has been established for Gilda’s Club of the Quad Cities.

Pamela Rose Harvey, 65, of Burlington, died at 3:23 AM Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Born November 4, 1947, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Ilene Perdue Sandage. On November 4, 1966, she married William Karle, Jr. They later divorced. On March 16, 1996 she married John Harvey. They later divorced.
Pamela had worked as an art teacher in Malibu, CA
She was a member of the Church of Religious Science in Santa Monica, CA, and the Great River Poets Society. She enjoyed poetry, flower gardening, and was a spiritual advisor.
Survivors include one daughter, Heather (Carl) Brueck of Burlington; one son, Patrick Harvey of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Andrew Brueck and Mikayla Brueck; two sisters, Diane Sandage of Macomb, IL, and Joanne Sandage of Agoura, CA; one nephew, Aaron Sandage; and a special friend, Gene Mills of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mrs. Harvey will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2013, at Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Orthel officiating. Burial will be in Olena Cemetery in Olena, IL. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Thielen Funeral Home following the burial.
