Survivors: She is survived by one son, De’Andre Howard of St. Louis, Missouri; two daughters, Aneesah Howard and Sharmeenah (Calvin) Smith, both of Burlington, Iowa; six grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara, JoAnn, Patricia and Renee; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: Funeral services Nadine Knox will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Greater Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Burlington, Iowa. Rev. Albert Sparks will officiate.
Cremation: will be accorded following the service

Nettie Belle Brown, 92, of Burlington, Iowa, died at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa, on Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Born on May 2, 1921 in Creighton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rosetta Dawson Calloway.
Nettie worked at IAAP as a janitor. She enjoyed socializing, playing bingo, crossword puzzles and getting her hair fixed. One of her favorite quotes was “The nest is warm but the bird is gone.” She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosetta Marsh of Burlington, Iowa and Gloria Bradshaw of Ontario, California; two granddaughters, Regina and Rolanda; two great-grandchild; two great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Graveside committal services for Nettie Belle Brown will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, Iowa. Elder Dorothy Timmons will officiate. Waunetta Fay Pottorff, 90, of Burlington, died at Blair House, Burlington, Iowa, on Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Born on February 27, 1923 in Eldon, Iowa, she was the daughter of Pearl Jefferson and Elizabeth J. Dean Carter.
Waunetta was an expert seamstress at Schramm’s Department Store and Brinck’s Clothing Store. She was one of seven children and the last survivor.
She is survived by two daughters, Victoria “Kathy” Pottorff and Karen Beth Pottorff, both of Burlington, Iowa; one son, Brian Pottorff of Burlington, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and sisters.

71 of Burlington died Tuesday at home.
