Iowa Still not in Triple Digit Temps this Summer
Iowa has seen new record temperatures this summer, and they’re not highs.
Last month was unusually cooler than a regular July in Iowa. The record high so far for this summer was 98 degrees in Keokuk on July 19th. The lowest temperature was 39 degrees in Battle Creek, in northwest Iowa. According to State Climatologist Harry Hillaker, it was the first time Iowa has seen a temperature in the 30′s in July in almost 30 years.
Iowa has not reached triple digit temperatures this entire summer.
