Fort Madison Attempts to Set World Record
It should be an exciting Saturday in Fort Madison this weekend.
Not only is it the first-ever Riverview Games, but Fort Madison is attempting to set a world record. President of Fort Madison’s Ambassadors Club, Jerry Koering…
“The world record we determined was longest high-five chain. You just do a high-five, turn around, give the next person a high-five, and so on. 405 is the current record. We need 406 to break it. We are trying to attempt it around noon. We are asking people to get down there around 11:30ish. In order to break a world record, there are quite a few extensive things that we need to do.”
There will be games for kids…
“We are going to try and have 8 kids games. It’s kind of an Olympic theme. We’ve got gold, silver, and bronze medals and will have an award ceremony for the kids afterwards.”
There will also be adult games such as volleyball, badminton, and bags tournaments. The event starts tomorrow morning at 10am at Riverview Park in Fort Madison.
