Meth Bust in Burlington
The Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force agents broke up a drug house on Doemland Street in Burlington yesterday (Friday).
Arrests were made after investigators received numerous complaints from concern citizens over the past couple months. The two people arrested yesterday were 32-year-old Rachel Horn, who was charged with two outstanding Des Moines County Warrants for Failure to Appear to Serve Jail Sentence and Probation Violation. 37-year-old Wilson Porter JR. was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Additional Charges may be added.
At the residence, authorities found narcotics, packaging and chemicals that were consistent with the production of methamphetamine.
News Director Mark Morris talked to some neighbors yesterday who didn’t want to be identified, but said they weren’t surprised by the illegal drug operation.
