Mississippi River Body Spurs Murder Probe
HANNIBAL, Mo. (AP) — Authorities in northeast Missouri say a homicide investigation is under way after a woman’s body was found floating in the Mississippi River.
A boater found the body on Sunday just south of Hannibal. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating. The victim’s identity has not been determined. An autopsy was Monday.
Authorities say the body was along the Missouri shore.
