Michael Lee Beard, 59, of Burlington, died at 6:50 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born April 22, 1954, in Keokuk, IA, he was the son of Lester and Mary Maxine Toops Beard Shaffer. He was married and later divorced from Melissa Wilson, Tina Brown, and Beth Koval.
Mike worked as a roofer for The Roofing Company.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap-shooting, model cars, gardening, and anything to do with the outdoors.
Survivors include two sons, Jacob Parrott, and Pete (Angela) Beard, both of Burlington; three daughters, Rachael Beard, Krystal Mullhatten, and Michele Beard, all of Burlington; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Rick Beard, and John Shaffer, both of Burlington, two sisters, Kathy Shaffer, and Irma Woodyard, both of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
