IN CROSS COUNTRY, THE BURLINGTON BOYS WON THEIR PART OF THE GRAYHOUND INVITATIONAL YESTERDAY, WHILE THE BHS GIRLS PLACED 7TH.   OTHER TEAMS AND THEIR FINISHES AMONG THE BOYS INCLUDED SECOND PLACE DAVENPORT CENTRAL…MUSCATINE IN THIRD…MEDIAPOLIS CAME IN FOURTH…AND NOTRE DAME-WEST BURLINGTON 5TH.    AMONG THE GIRLS TEAMS, MUSCATINE WON…FOLLOWED BY DAVENPORT CENTRAL…MACOMB…FT. MADISON…AND MEDIAPOLIS IN 5TH.     INDIVIDUALLY, BURLINGTON’S STEVE KRUSE CAME IN SECOND FOR THE BOYS, WHILE JACOB HUBER WAS 4TH…AND DILLON TIMMERMAN OF MEDIAPOLIS PLACED 6TH…AND SAVANNA BANWART OF MEDIAPOLIS PLACED 9TH FOR THE GIRLS.

 

(AND) IN GIRLS VOLLEYBALL, TOP-RATED (1A) HOLY TRINITY WON ALL EIGHT GAMES, TO EARN THE TOP SPOT IN POOL-1 OF THE SEI SUPERCONFERENCE TOURNEY’S FIRST ROUND.   PEKIN WAS SECOND…WACO THIRD…AND WB-ND CAME IN FOURTH.

 

AT NOTRE DAME, MEDIAPOLIS WON ALL EIGHT OF ITS GAMES TO TAKE THE POOL-2 TITLE AT THE NOTRE DAME GYM.  CENTRAL LEE WAS SECOND…NOTRE DAME THIRD …AND DANVILLE 4TH.

 

IN POOL-3, 4TH-RANKED(1A) NEW LONDON CAME OUT UNBEATEN IN WAPELLO.  THE HIGHLAND GIRLS WERE SECOND…AND WAPELLO, COLUMBUS AND LONE TREE TIED FOR THIRD.
