Octoberfest This Weekend in Burlington

Burlington’s German Heritage is coming alive this Saturday down at the Port of Burlington.

Octoberfest, a fundraiser for the Burlington Noon Lions Club, starts at 4pm with live music. Karen Thei, president of the club, says even if the weather isn’t ideal, there will be nothing to worry about…

“We’re inside. We can put the rolling doors down. It doesn’t matter how cold it is or if it’s raining.. because when you do the Polka, you don’t get cold”.

Octoberfest features live music, dancing, German food, and a variety of unique beer flavors. All proceeds go to the Lions Club to help people with vision problems…

“We provide financial assistance to people who might need it for eyeglasses. It’s not just for adults, we will also provide assistance for children because if you can’t see, you can’t learn.”

The event starts at 4pm this Saturday and goes until 10:30pm. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door at the Port of Burlington.
