More Meth Arrests in Keokuk

Four Keokuk residents have been arrested on drug charges, in two separate matters.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force arrested 31-year-old Kent Elder and 29-year-old Melissa Skinner in Alexandria, Missouri on felony and misdemeanor drug warrants. Elder is charged with Reckless Driving, Accessory After the Fact, and Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine Less Than Five Grams. If convicted Elder faces up to 17 years in prison. Skinner has been charge with Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine Less Than Five Grams. If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison.

In an unrelated case, 59-year-old Terry Jarrell and 47-year-old Barbara Kay of 825 Concert Street were also arrested on felony and misdemeanor drug charges. Jarrell is charged with Receipt of a Precursor for Unlawful Purpose. If convicted, he faces 5 years in prison. Kay is charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine in Excess of Five Grams Within 1,000 Feet of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamine. If convicted, Kay faces up to 31 years in prison.
