Local Man to Face Crack, Pot, Gun Charges

LOCAL AUTHORITIES…LED BY THE SOUTHEAST IOWA NARCOTICS TASK FORCE…BUSTED A 39-YEAR OLD BURLINGTON MAN YESTERDAY(WED) ON FELONY DRUG CHARGES.

MARVIN IVEY OF 15-17 ASHMUN STREET…ON THE CITY’S NORTH SIDE…WILL FACE COUNTS OF SELLING CRACK COCAINE…POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL MARIJUANA…A VIOLATION OF THE DRUG TAX STAMP LAW…AND POSSESSION OF A GUN BY A FELON. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE DES MOINES COUNTY JAIL, WHERE HIS BOND WAS SET AT 165-THOUSAND DOLLARS, CASH-ONLY.

 

TASK FORCE COMMANDER…LT. JEFF KLEIN OF THE BURLINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT…SAYS MORE ARRESTS ARE ANTICIPATED.
