DMCo Dems Hit Riverfront for “FriendRaiser”

DES MOINES COUNTY’S DEMOCRATS WILL HOST THEIR FALL “FRIEND-RAISER” TOMORROW(SAT) EVENING AT THE PORT-OF-BURLINGTON.

PARTY CHAIRMAN JOHN RIESSEN SAYS AMONG THE SPEAKERS WILL BE JESSICA CULLEN, ON BEHALF OF U-S SENATE CANDIDATE BRUCE BRALEY, WHO’S RUNNING FOR THE SEAT HELD BY THE RETIRING TOM HARKIN. RIESSEN SAYS LOCAL CONGRESSMAN DAVE LOEBSACK WON’T BE THERE, BECAUSE HE’LL BE IN WASHINGTON, AWAITING POSSIBLE VOTES ON FUNDING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

 

SOCIAL HOUR BEGINS AT 5…FOLLOWED BY PULLED-PORK SANDWICHES, OTHER ENTREES, AND BEER, WINE AND SOFT-DRINKS AT 6. THE SPEAKERS WILL HIT THE PODIUM AT 7. TICKETS ARE 25 DOLLARS.
