Police in Burlington, West Burlington, and Henderson County are investigating a rash of catalytic converter thefts from cars.
All nine of them were stolen during the day yesterday and were from Chevy Cavaliers.
Two of the units were stolen from the Lowe’s Parking lot, one from Comfort Suites in Burlington, two from the Great River Medical Center Property, and one from 411 West Agency in West Burlington. There were also three cut out of cars parked at West Central High School near Biggsville.
West Burlington Police Chief, Frank Newberry, says they have surveillance video of what appears to be a green vehicle at the scene of at least one of the thefts.
