Burlington Schools Enrollment Down by 50

Enrollment in the Burlington Community School District is down.

According to Superintendent Jane Evans, the enrollment dropped by about 50 students this year, however that number isn’t set in stone.

Evans thinks the decrease in numbers is due to kindergarten…

“I think the main reason is because we had 78 fewer kindergarten students this year.”

Overall the district has 4,632 students.
