WB Council Hopefuls Few but Passionate

THE FOUR CANDIDATES FOR WEST BURLINGTON CITY COUNCIL ADDRESSED THE ISSUES LAST(WED) NITE IN A FORUM PUT ON BY THE GREATER BURLINGTON PARTNERSHIP.

INCUMBENT KARA STEWARD…ONE OF THREE RUNNING FOR TWO SEATS AS COUNCILMEN…SAYS COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT AND BETTER THAN IT USED TO BE…BUT IT COULD STILL BE IMPROVED, ESPECIALLY AMONG WEST BURLINGTON AND THE OTHER LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.

CANDIDATE GARY DEEN SAYS INTERNAL COMMUNICATION IS SOMETHING THE COUNCIL CAN DEFINITELY WORK ON.  DOUG ERVINE, TOO, SAYS BETTER COMMUNICATION COULD HEAD OFF A LOT OF PROBLEMS.  MAYOR HANS TROUSIL…WHO’S RUNNING UNOPPOSED AND WHO DOESN’T GET A VOTE…SAYS DEBATE AMONG THE COUNCIL MEMBERS IS GOOD.   IN OTHER WORDS, MORE COMMUNICATION.
