City Election Day — Burlington Polling Places Below

IT’S ELECTION DAY IN IOWA…AND IN BURLINGTON THAT MEANS VOTERS HAVE UNTIL 8 O’CLOCK TONITE(TUE) TO CHOOSE FROM AMONG SIX CANDIDATES FOR THREE SEATS ON THE CITY COUNCIL.

THOSE RUNNING ARE INCUMBENT MAYOR JIM DAVIDSON…MAYOR PRO TEM CHRIS REED…COUNCILMAN BOB FLEMING…FORMER COUNCILMAN MIKE CAMPBELL…FORMER MAYOR TIM SCOTT…AND POLITICAL NEWCOMER BECKY SHOCKLEY. BURLINGTON’S POLLING PLACES HAVE BEEN CONSOLIDATED, SO THOSE WHO LIVE IN PRECINCTS ONE, TWO AND THREE SHOULD GO TO THE OAK STREET BAPTIST CHURCH AT 13-03 OAK. FOR THOSE WHO LIVE IN PRECINCTS FOUR, FIVE AND NINE, MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH IS THE PLACE TO VOTE; THAT’S 24-11 WEST AVENUE. AND BURLINGTON VOTERS IN PRECINCTS SIX, SEVEN AND EIGHT CAN CAST THEIR BALLOTS AT BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 25-15 MADISON AVENUE.

THE POLLS IN WEST BURLINGTON ARE ALSO OPEN TIL 8 PM AND ALL RESIDENTS THERE SHOULD VOTE AT ST. MARY’S PARISH CENTER, 520 WEST MT. PLEASANT STREET IN WEST BURLINGTON. THREE CANDIDATES…INCUMBENT KARA STEWARD, DOUG ERVINE AND GARY DEEN…ARE COMPETING FOR TWO SEATS ON THE COUNCIL, WHILE MAYOR HANS TROUSIL IS AGAIN RUNNING UNOPPOSED.

IN DANVILLE…MEDIAPOLIS…AND MIDDLETOWN, THE POLLS ARE OPEN TODAY(TUE) FROM NOON TO 8 AND HERE’S WHERE YOU CAN VOTE: IN DANVILLE, THE COMMUNITY BUILDING AT 104 WEST SHEPHERD. IN MEDIAPOLIS, CITY HALL AT 510 MAIN STREET. AND IN MIDDLETOWN, ALSO CITY HALL AT 120 MECHANIC STREET.
