S. Central Ave. Meth Lab, “Chemist,” Busted

A BURLINGTON MAN WILL FACE HALF-A-DOZEN CHARGES, AFTER A DRUG BUST AT 719 SOUTH CENTRAL AVENUE ABOUT 7:30 LAST(WED) NITE.

SOUTHEAST IOWA NARCOTICS TASK FORCE AGENTS AND CITY POLICE DETECTIVES EXECUTED A SEARCH WARRANT AT THE HOME AND REPORTED FINDING THE COMPONENTS USED TO MAKE METHAMPHETAMINE. FURTHER INVESTIGATION LED THEM TO 47-YEAR OLD ROBERT WIXOM, WHO’S BEEN CHARGED WITH MANUFACTURING METH…SELLING IT…POSSESSING IT WITH THE INTENT TO SELL IT…RECEIVING METH PRECURSORS…AND POSSESSION OF PRECURSORS.

 

AUTHORITIES ALSO SERVED WIXOM WITH A DES MOINES COUNTY WARRANT FOR FAILING TO APPEAR IN COURT. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE COUNTY JAIL ON A 215-THOUSAND DOLLAR BOND.
