THE BURLINGTON CITY COUNCIL MEETS TONITE(MON) IN REGULAR SESSION, BUT THERE’S NOTHING ON THE AGENDA PERTAINING TO VENU-WORKS…MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM…NOR STEAMBOAT DAYS.

WHAT IS TO BE ACTED ON ARE SOME CHANGES IN THE PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL CODES…ANOTHER WHICH WILL REZONE THE DEPOT PROPERTY TO INCLUDE AN H-1…OR HISTORICIAL PRESERVATION OVERLAY DISTRICT DESIGNATION. 

 

OTHER THAN THAT, THERE ARE RESOLUTIONS TO BE VOTED ON THAT WILL AUTHORIZE MAYOR JIM DAVIDSON TO SIGN A STATE GRANT AGREEMENT FOR THE FLINT RIVER TRAIL…ANOTHER APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A SMALL DUMP TRUCK FOR THE PARKS DEPARTMENT…AND A CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION FOR PROPERTY MAINTENANCE MANAGER BREYDN HILL FOR 35 YEARS OF CITY SERVICE. TONITE’S(MON) MEETING IS AT 6:30 AND THE PUBLIC WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO COMMENT TOWARD THE END OF THE MEETING.
