IN GIRLS VOLLEYBALL, HOLY TRINITY JUNIOR MIKAELA FOECKE HAS BEEN NAMED THE ELITE ALL-STATE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AND CLASS 1A PLAYER OF THE YEAR BY THE IOWA GIRLS COACHES ASSOCIATION.  EMILY PARKS OF NEW LONDON WAS NAMED TO THE SECOND (ALL-STATE) TEAM…ERICA ROBISON OF WINFIELD-MT.UNION WAS CHOSEN FOR THE THIRD TEAM…AND SARAH HOLTKAMP OF NEW LONDON WAS GIVEN AN HONORABLE MENTION.

 

AND FORMER MONMOUTH COLLEGE QUARTERBACK ALEX TANNEY HAS BEEN PICKED FROM THE DALLAS COWBOYS PRACTICE SQUAD AND SIGNED WITH THE CLEVELAND BROWNS, AS A BACKUP TO BRANDON WEEDEN.   (STARTER JASON CAMPBELL IS RECOVERING FROM A CONCUSSION.)
