Most Weekend Snow Went North of Us

WE GOT OUR SNOW…AND, AS PREDICTED, WE DIDN’T GET A LOT OF IT.

BURLINGTON RECEIVED UP TO AN INCH…FORT MADISON 1.3…MUSCATINE GOT AS MUCH AS 2 1/2 INCHES…BUT MOST OF THE OTHER REPORTING STATIONS IN OUR LISTENING AREA RECEIVED AN INCH-AND-A-QUARTER OR LESS. NEW WINDSOR IN MERCER COUNTY RECEIVED 1.2…AN INCH FELL ON GOOD HOPE IN MCDONOUGH COUNTY AND NEAR CAMBRIDGE IN HENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS…EIGHT-TENTHS-OF-AN-INCH IN VAN BUREN COUNTY’S VILLAGE OF CANTRIL…AND POINT-4 INCHES IN THE COLUSA AREA.

THERE HAVE BEEN A NUMBER OF WEATHER-RELATED TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS ALREADY, SOME SERIOUS AND OTHERS NOT SO MUCH…AND BURLINGTON POLICE CHIEF DOUG BEAIRD SAYS YOU NEED TO SLOW DOWN…INCREASE YOUR FOLLOWING DISTANCE…AND DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE.
