Swan Songs for Davidson, Reed Last Night

AS EXPECTED AND WITH VERY LITTLE DISCUSSION, THE BURLINGTON CITY COUNCIL LAST(MON) NITE SCHEDULED A PAIR OF JANUARY 6TH PUBLIC HEARINGS…ONE ON SOME PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE TREE ORDINANCE, TO HELP THE CITY DEAL WITH THE EMERALD ASH BORER…..AND THE OTHER ON A REQUEST BY HOPE HAVEN TO SEEK A FEDERAL GRANT, TO HELP IT PAY TO BUY AND BUILD A NEW “HOPEFULLY YOURS” STORE.

THE MEETING WAS THE FINAL REGULAR SESSION FOR MAYOR JIM DAVIDSON AND COUNCILMAN CHRIS REED…AND CITY MANAGER JIM FERNEAU SAYS THIS COUNCIL HAS BEEN A GOOD GROUP TO WORK WITH.

 

COUNCIL MEMBERS BOB FLEMING, TIM SCOTT AND BECKY SHOCKLEY WILL BE SWORN IN JANUARY SECOND.
