Obituaries Friday December 20th

Sharon Kathryn Brantner, 67, of rural Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 9:55 p.m. at the West PointCareCenter.  She was born on February 7, 1946 in Durand, WI to Arthur & Rose Schuh Ableidinger.  She married Thomas J. Brantner on January 16, 1965 in Durand, WI.  She was a homemaker and member of SacredHeartChurch, Holy Family Parish and the Altar & Rosary Society of the church.  She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting and playing slot machines.

       Sharon is survived by: her husband: Tom Brantner of West Point, IA; 1-son: Brad (Angel) Brantner of Fort Madison, IA; 3-daughters: Brenda (Michael) Gulick of Fort Madison, IA, Barb (Steve) Furtado of Rochester, MA & Becky (Bradley) Bellamy of Indianola, IA; 10-grandchildren; 2-great grandchildren; 2-brothers: Ron (Sheila) Ashley of Kailua-Kona, HI & Gary (Debbie) Ableidinger of Jeffersonville, IN; 2-sisters: LaRose Murray of Cannon Falls, MN & Beatrice (Bernard) Schlosser of Mission, TX.  She was preceded in death by: her parents and 2-brothers: Darold & Van.

       The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. with a wake service to be held at 3:30 p.m. all on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish with Rev.
