DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) _ Police say the driver who fled the scene of a fatal crash in Davenport has been arrested and charged.
Assistant Police Chief Don Schaeffer tells the Quad-City Times that 22-year-old Charles Williams of Davenport was arrested Friday after being released from a hospital. He is now in the Scott County Jail.
Williams has been charged with homicide by vehicle, operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and other counts.
Police say he fled the December 10th single-car crash that killed his passenger, 47-year-old John Frost of Davenport.
