New Illinois Laws


Several new laws will take effect January 1st in Illinois. Two may be particularly hard habits to break. Throwing a cigarette butt on the ground will now be considered littering in the state. Also, talking on the phone while driving will be illegal. Illinois State Police are reminding motorists that unless you are using a hands free or voice operated mode on your phone, you will be fined for holding it up to your ear and driving with one hand on the wheel. Obituaries Tuesday December 17th

Mr. Lldon L. Little, 84, of LaHarpe, IL passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 1:40 PM in the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center. He was born December 20, 1928 in Stronghurst, Illinois, the son of Guy and Mary Hutson Little. On July 23, 1950 Lldon married Lucille Johnson in LaHarpe. Lldon Graduated from LaHarpeHigh School in 1946 and then attended Browns School of Business in Galesburg, Illinois. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Continue Reading →
