Donnellson Man Arrested for Horse Neglect

A Donnellson man has been arrested and charged with three counts of Livestock Neglect.

Authorities conducted investigations at two properties owned by 55-year-old Jeffery Graber. The results revealed one dead horse, along with a number of others on the verge of dying. According to Iowa Code, a person can be charged with one serious misdemeanor when care and sustenance are not provided to livestock, which then results in the death of the animal.

Graber was also charged with two counts of misdemeanor Neglect for surviving animals and one more misdemeanor for the improper disposal of a dead body.
