THERE WAS A DOMESTIC DISPUTE THAT EVOLVED INTO A STABBING LATE LAST(SUN) NITE IN WEST BURLINGTON.

 

POLICE CHIEF FRANK NEWBERRY SAYS THE CALL CAME IN JUST BEFORE 10:15 FROM 708 SWAN STREET AND THE FEMALE VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO GREAT RIVER MEDICAL CENTER, WHERE SHE WAS TREATED & RELEASED. NO OTHER INFORMATION HAS BEEN REVEALED.
POLICE IN FORT MADISON ARRESTED A 69-YEAR OLD MAN OVER THE WEEKEND ON A-HALF-DOZEN CHARGES. ROGER MENDEZ OF 34-19 AVENUE P WILL FACE COUNTS OF THIRD DEGREE SEXUAL ABUSE…LASCIVIOUS ACTS WITH A MINOR AND WITH A CHILD…CHILD ENDANGERMENT…INDECENT EXPOSURE…AND DISSEMINATION OF OBSCENE MATERIAL. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE LEE COUNTY JAIL.
