Gloria Geraldine Bell, 67, of Burlington, died at 7:40 PM Sunday, January 12, 2014, at her home.
Born November 26, 1946, in Jerseyville, IL, she was the daughter of John James and Gloria Maudine Scott Brock. On March 27, 1993, she married Wayne Herman Bell in Burlington.
Gloria was a homemaker and was a cashier for 40 years, retiring in 2007.
She was a 1965 graduate from Greenfield, IL.
She was a member of Parkside First Baptist Church. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams fan. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking, baking, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne; three sons, Micheal Ray (Khristy) Guthrie of Kingsville, MO, Terry Lee Guthrie, and Christopher James “C.J.” Guthrie of Burlington; three step-daughters, Shelly Marie Bell and Lisa Marie Bell, both of Burlington, and Shannon Michelle Bell of Denver, CO; nine grandchildren, Sean, Sheldon Michael, Dakota, Denyah, Clay, Dustan Jr., Drayven, Donnie, and Sheldon Lee; two brothers, Michael Webster of Carlinville, IL and William David Webster of Medora, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her step-father, Chris Webster, her grandparents, and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mrs. Bell will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Graber officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Thielen Funeral Home following the burial.
A memorial has been established for a monument.
