Burlington’s School Bullying Calms Down

After months of hearing about the problem, the bullying issues in the Burlington Community School District have started to decrease, according to Superintendent Jane Evans…

“It’s really calmed down tremendously. We now have an online bullying report form. Anyone can fill it out. You can find it at our district’s website. Once that’s been filled out and submitted, it instantly goes to the school so there are no concerns about papers being lost or falling through the cracks. We’ve received a couple forms that way, and I’m sure we’ll see more in the future, but I think that things have really calmed down.”

There will be another anti-bullying meeting for parents at Grimes Elementary Tuesday January 28th at 6:30pm. The meeting is hosted by the Burlington School District and the South Hill Neighborhood Association. Evans says it’s just a follow up from the previous anit-bullying meeting.
